LocalPreviews

This is documentation about a configuration directive, which can be placed within Movable Type’s core configuration file, mt-config.cgi, to customize the behavior of the system.

A boolean config setting to force Movable Type to create preview files on the same server as the “local” Movable Type installation rather than in the publishing location.

This config directive specifically allows the Live Preview functionality to function in a multi-server and/or multi-domain or sub-domain environment.

If blog is published to www.example.com, and the Movable Type application is installed at mt.example.com, then previews therefore should occur locally. When “LocalPreviews” is set to “1”, all previews will be published to http://mt.example.com/ instead of http://www.example.com/.

Default is 0, disabled.
