Granting Permissions to Newly Created Users

Movable Type offers the ability to automatically assign roles (permissions) to a user when a new user is created.

System administrators, website administrators, and blog administrators can configure Movable Type to automatically grant permissions on a website or blog to a new user at the time the new user is created.

• Switch to a website or blog by clicking on the blog selection menu and choosing the website or blog.

• Click Settings > Registration from the website/blog main menu.

• Locate and click on the “Select roles” link in the “New Created User” section.

• Select one or more roles you wish to assign newly created users on the website/blog.
  Select roles by clicking on the checkboxes next to the role name. When you have selected the roles you wish to assign to newly created users, click the “OK” button at the bottom of the wizard.

• Click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page to save your selections.
