Over the past six (!) years, Tim's done a great job of not just understanding and explaining functional details of Movable Type, but of building award-winning plugins and of holding our feet to the fire at Six Apart when he thinks it's in the best interest of MT. It's a thrill to see him posting frequently about MT with his uniquely informed perspective, and it's well worth adding his site to your list of regular reads if you want to keep up with a strong independent voice in the MT community.
And of course, if you value Tim's insights into creating content and community with Movable Type, it's worth finding out more about Appnel Solutions to help with consulting.

Unfortunately Tim haven’t wrote anything since 2008th. :( He probably doesn’t work together with Moveable type team.

I like the clean design of Tim’s web page. It reminds me to the Wordpress theme The Journalist I use for some of my sites.

We all know that all big and successful projects are laying on the shoulders of very few but strong people. It seems that for moveable type on of these people is Tim Appnel. I can also name Byrne, but he just like Tim are no longer members of Moveable Type’s team.

Actually the whole movabletype.org is full with broken links. I’ve read it from time to time again and again to learn some already forgotten tips and tricks and I see it.

I think Appnel is involved in O’Reilly Network now.
