MailEncoding

This is documentation about a configuration directive, which can be placed within Movable Type’s core configuration file, mt-config.cgi, to customize the behavior of the system.

This configuration directive specifies the character encoding to be used for email if it is to be different from the PublishCharset. It takes a string value specifying the character encoding name.

Default Value: ISO-8859-1

Example:

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=XXXX
