Embedding video

How can i put a video into my blog. Either uploading a .mov file directly or linking to a youtube version if need be.

Hi Andrew, Embedding a Youtube video involves less code and less strain on your web server.

To do that, go to the URL at Youtube.com of the video you’d like to embed and click the “Share this video” link under the player. Next, select the “Embed” link. Copy the provided iframe code.

Put your Movable Type entry in edit mode. Place the cursor where you’d like the video to appear.

If using “Rich Text” format mode, click the Insert HTML button in the toolbar and paste the provided code and click Insert. If using “Convert Line Breaks” or “None” formatting, paste the iframe code directly.

You can also upload a .mov file using the Asset Manager or via FTP. You would then need to embed that file using HTML code. More information and code samples can be found here: http://goo.gl/Mkg75M
