I have a personal blog using MT 4.38 and want to upgrade to 5.2.9 but can’t find anywhere to download it? what do I do? where do i get the latest 5.2.9 version to upgrade my older 4.38 blog?

Hi Jay, Movable Type no longer offers a free “personal” or “blogger” download. You can get a paid license at http://movabletype.com for your site or you can download an open source version here: http://movabletype.org/downloads/archives/. Note that the open source version will no longer be maintained by Movable Type, so you will not have an officially supported upgrade path going forward.
